Your Saint Bernard:

Why are you interested in owning a Saint Bernard and what is the most important quality you are looking for in a saint?

Do you prefer a long or short haired Saint Bernard or does it matter?

Do you prefer a male or female or does it matter?

Saint Bernards come in all different markings, none of which can ever be predicted. Do you have a preference in markings or does it matter?

Are you looking for a show prospect or a companion puppy?
If you are looking for a show prospect, please tell me your exhibiting experience and why you wish to show Saint Bernards:

We occasionally have an older puppy available that we originally kept back for show purposes but have decided to place. Would you be interested in an older puppy or young adult?

Raising your Saint Bernard:

Will you be keeping your saint indoors or outdoors?
Please explain how you intend to house your new Saint Bernard:

Have you or your significant other had experience raising Saint Bernards?
Please explain:

Does everyone in the family agree 100% on adding a Saint Bernard to the family?

Who will be the primary caregiver of the Saint and does that person accept the responsibility willingly and enthusiastically?

Are you aware of the adoption prices for a well bred Saint Bernard and does it fit into your budget?

Routine care and veterinary expenses may cost anywhere from $500-$1000 or more per year. Are you prepared to pay hundreds of dollars should your saint become ill?

Puppies grow EXTREMELY fast. Are you aware that the cute little fur balls at 8 weeks old turn into massive, 150 pound plus dogs who drool, shed and snore as adults?

Do you plan to attend obedience classes with your saint or train at home?

What will you do to help socialize your saint puppy?

Saint Bernards can live an average of 8 to 10 years and sometimes more. Are you willing to commit to a relationship that long?

What health problems are you aware of with the Saint Bernard breed and are you willing to take the risk that your saint may possibly develop a condition?

Because we don’t typically have litters more then once or twice a year, we would like to know what your time frame is for acquiring your saint puppy. Remember….the best puppies come to those who are patient. When are you looking to add a Saint Bernard to your family?
